Investigating the inside of a pumpkin

We had great fun today finding out what is inside a pumpkin.
The children noticed the pumpkin contained seeds and stringy flesh. According to Abigail; "The seeds are slippy, just like banana skin"

The children used different tools, tweezers and tongs to take out the seeds. We counted them too and realised our pumpkin contained more than 20 seeds.

Tomorrow we will put the seeds in the water tray, I wonder if they will float or sink.
What do you think?

  1. Hi FS2 I heard some wonderful descriptive words to describe the texture of the pumpkin as I photographed you today, well done to you all.
